Subject: UK Memorial Day event

On May 27 2019, over 1,000 US and UK military and civilians gathered in ceremony to memorialize the 8,938 fallen US WW2 heroes laid to rest or represented on the wall of the missing at the Cambridge American Cemetery.  The distinguished guests that addressed the crowd, included Her Majesty’s Representative, Mr. Chris Pankhurst; US Ambassador, Woody Johnson; Admiral James G. Foggo III, US Navy; and Ms. Jonna Doolittle-Hoppes, granddaughter of General Doolittle.  CMSgt Dan Humbert represented the 55th Wing in laying a wreath in honor of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.  The remembrance event culminated with a B-17, P-47 and P-51 flyover. The wreath was provided by the 55th Wing Assn.
