With the assignment and arrival of 1Lt Joshua V. Eldridge to the 55th Wing in August 2012,
three generations of Eldridges have served with The Fightin' Fifty-Fifth, a noteworthy historic occasion.
Lieutenant Eldridge is assigned to the 338th Combat Crew Training Squadron for upgrade into the RC-135 aircraft.
His father, Lt. Col. (Retired) Golda T. (Tom) Eldridge, Jr. served two tours in the 55th at Offutt AFB 1988-1994 and 2002-2006; while his grandfather, Lt. Col. (Retired) Golda, Sr. was assigned three times; at Forbes AFB, KS 1966-1967; and moved with the wing to Offutt through 1969; returned to Offutt 1970-1974; and lastly from 1985-1987 when he retired.
All three are pilots graduating 24 years apart - Golda, Sr. in Aug. 1964; Tom in May 1988; and Josh in May 2012

(Note from Max: I have been in and/or associated with the 55th since 1960 and while several sons of former 55th'ers
have been in the Wing, to my knowledge, this is a historic first with a third generation.)
